Given the situation across the country, with the agreement of the management and general committees, the following is our current position:·
The AGM WILL BE POSTPONED or cancelled. At present there are no contested officers so elections would not be required.· Guild meetings will be considered on a case by case basis and all members are encouraged to keep an eye on the website and Facebook for updates.
Districts should keep in touch with local contacts, as incumbents or churchwardens may wish to reduce the number of events happening at any particular church including ringing meetings. The website and Facebook should be used to maintain regular contact with as many members as possible.
The Central Council of Church Bell Ringers is monitoring things and the advice is “Many people are concerned about the effects of the current Coronavirus outbreak and what impact that has on us and our ringing activities.
