Michael Poppleston

With sadness we have to report the passing of another of our members. Michael Poppleston passed away on Thursday 18th Jan. Some of you will remember Michael from the early 1960’s when he was ringing master at Wollaton and then at St Peter’s when he returned to Nottingham from the North East in 1997. From then he was a member of the band at St Peter’s for some 12 years. Before Covid, Michael made it to many of the daytime weekday sessions, even though he was struggling with mobility. Please remember his wife, Anthea, in your thoughts and prayers.

Michael’s funeral will be held on Wednesday 31st January, at Bramcote Crematorium at 4.30p.m.
